Commercial Equine Liability
Coverage for your horse business for such things as riding instruction, training, breeding, boarding, clinics, shows etc. that will protect you in case someone is injured or their property is damaged as a result of your horse business activities.
Care, Custody & Control
If you have someone else’s horses in your care, custody or control, such as boarding, training, breeding etc. this coverage will protect you in case something happens to their Horse. This can be do to an accident, sickness, disease , This does not apply to your own personal horses.
Horse Club & Association Liability
This is coverage for spectators, and does not cover members of the club or association. This coverage is designed to cover all events of the club such as shows, trail rides, meetings, parades, exhibit booths, clinics etc. in case someone is injured and may try to hold the club responsible.
Therapeutic Riding Liability
Coverage is provided for directors, partners, volunteers, and instructors of the therapeutic riding program in the event of a claim. It covers events open to the public, for example, Special Olympics, fund raisers, demonstrations, etc. It does not cover injury to the staff, or volunteers.
Personal Horse Owner Liability
This coverage provides liability for your own personal horse. Some Homeowners policies don’t extend this coverage for accidents caused by your horse, and in this case this will fill in the gap.
Horse Event Liability
Protection available for anyone who puts on clinics, rodeos, seminars, horse shows etc. This is for the spectators and not participants or exhibitors.
Umbrella Liability
Coverage over and above your Commercial Equine Laibility providing additional protection.
Full Mortality
Covers your horse if it dies from accidential causes, disease, sickness, humane destruction and theft. Some policies extend emergency colic surgery.
Rates are based on breed and sex as well as use, value and age.
Major Medical
Health insurance on your horse can be purchased in addition to full mortality. Covers medical and surgical treatment, diagnostic procedures performed by a licensed veterinarian due to accident, sickness or disease.
Loss of Use
Permanent disability insurance on your horse. May be added by endorsement to a Full Mortality and Major Medical policy. Very specific and only available on performance horses.
Stallion Infertility
Stallions are covered under this type of policy. Covers your stallion if it becomes permanently unable to breed as a result of accident, sickness or disease.
Limited Mortality
Mortality coverage for horses as a result of certain types of accidents.
